can get the kits for around 150pounds.. anyone have one fitted on here? idealy on a a3 quattro ;)

Launch control? Why would you need such a device if you have a quattro? when was the last time you got all 4 wheels to light up when launching? :racer:

Last I heard, R-Tech were looking for 'guinea pigs' to see if Launch Control could be added to S3 / A3TQS's as part of the mapping. They have some links on their website to vids on launch control, contact Nick at R-Tech if you want more info.

As Jojo says, why would you need launch control though if you have 4WD?

Yep ive got a wotbox, although ive never used it yet.

Been in a car that has though and its good fun.

Last night :)

always prawny boy, ;)

Sorry, but launch control....really ??????

why ? So you want to rev the Sh*t out of your car to start a bit quickly.......basically. Is this for your santa pod/brands hatch days ?

It just a cool toy to help get off the line, I can completely see the point and I imagine it can be tuned to the best point between a good launch and not murdering the clutch which certainly has it's merits.

Good clutch and a nice 6k launch. Its all good lol.

My ex`s Celica GT4 used to love those. Just have to be quick on the 1st to 2nd gearchange as it comes around damn fast!

lol its the sound a love, as its an ignition cut it will pop bang and flame all day long! lol and im "competing" almost with my mate. im determined to beat his saxo (I KNOW WHAT YOUR THINKING!) at santa pod in a few months! lol

Surely uprated differential would be needed for something like that aswell?

haha, I want to buy your S3, it's never been past 4k revs I reckon! :racer:

No you wouldn't want to buy my car....what was it someone said to me in a previous post?....oh yeh, they thought it would be all coked up !

No, but seriously there's driving fast sometimes and to be talking about launch control gadget is an 'extreme' thing to have at your disposal daily.
Oh that reminds me of those old MK2 escorts where they use to put anti-roll bars in the car - their drivers 'think' they drive them so fast round corners they may tip them over ....I mean, come on give me a break !

Launches controlled or not will still kill your clutch, fact.

The wotbox launch control doesnt help you as soon as you drop the clutch, your right foot controls that lol. It merely assists by holding the optimal revs required ready for launch.

agree'd. because i have it doesnt mean i will use it all the time. i just want something to help me out a bit at santa pod and its something cool to watch/listen too when its on the limiter in a car park :D lol

i was looking at the Bee R kit. there around 135pounds delivered. looks pretty simple to fit too!

Sod the gay car park noises. Id go for the wotbox for a little more ££ (as i did lol) as it gives the additional function of no lift shifting.

oooo! so you just keep your foot to the floor and change gear? :S (runs to google!)
lol

i cant find any english pages! lol whats the fitting like?

does it have launch control/rev limiter too then? :)
