Turbo Problem?

I have a 1.9 tdi a3 which seems to loss power when doin 70-80 mph in 5th gear! its like the turbo cuts out completely and won't come back unless i restart the engine! any ideas as am new to the a3. any feedback will be most helpful

have you fault code read it? im betting theres an over boost fault code in there due to the variable vane turbo not working properly.
you can remove the turbo and take the exhaust side off and soak the unit in diesel for a day or two then give it a good clean with a tooth brush.... then reassemble. or a new turbo....
