Xenon - Ballast/igniter help

Hi All,

I've been a forum member for a while and found a lot of useful info on the site. Although I cannot find the answer to this query….

I have been having problems with one of xenon lights recently. Took it to a local specialist who advised that the ballast / igniter unit has failed.

To avoid paying the circa £800 Audi have quoted for the repair I am looking into getting a refurbed ballast.

Spoke to hids4u who said they could supply but didn't know which ballast the S3 8l took.

Does anyone have the part number?

Hey mate,

I had a issue the same as yours. I never bothered to check the fuse and manged to get a spare ballast pack. It was the blade fuse that was cocked. So didnt need the ballast pack in the end which I still have. Pm me if your interested dude.
