It wont make it any louder really

It's hugely worth while, but to get the best from it you need it done before it's mapped, and make sure the tuner is able
To map it accordingly to take advantage of the downpipe

    I'd recommend rtech personally

I'm not on my phone now, so I can afford to type a bit more and not look like a robot.

Basically, if I'm honest, I highly doubt AMD will map it to take the downpipe into account, as it won't fall into a stage 1 or stage 2 area, it's somewhere between!

Rtech for instance, will get 210bhp from a standard AUM stage 1 map, add in a downpipe and they offer a 'stage 1.5' map which runs a little more boost, then add in an FMIC and you can have a stage 2 map, which typically sees 230bhp or so.

My stage 1 Rtech with 3'' DP/decat made 224bhp at Badger 5, so the figures from the spec 1 map are good. Having driven an AMD mapped AUM back to back with mine, the AMD map felt nowhere near as good, and the owner of the car agreed!

Bill offers revo and custom code iirc, but might be more able/more willing to dial in the map to suit, but then again, as prawn says, r-techs maps are their own so they have more control over what they can adjust. You won't go wrong with either IMO.

aaaaaaaaaaah, if it's an AGU then that makes it a little different!

The AGU has a ko3 turbo, not a ko3S like the AUM.

A map on an AGU will not see you past 200bhp, no matter what mods you do. Mapping the standard car will see you 190 ish, then with all the extras you're adding probably 200 at a push.

Very few people bother with anything more than a stage 1 map on a ko3, because the stage 1 basically gets as much as possible from the turbo already, so there are VERY small gains to be had from stage 2.

Slap a ko3S on there then you can achieve the figures I mentioned above

it's well worth while mate if you can get one, I wouldn't go spending your money on all the other bits and a map for a ko3, the difference between a standard AGU with a map and an AGU with all the bits and a map is almost nil.

Adding a ko3S in for about £200 opens up a WHOLE load of extra power. the difference between a ko3 and a ko3S car is night and day.
