Do Part Numbers Need To Match?

I think i need to change the brake servo but I'm finding it hard getting an exact match on the part numbers.


Its only the last letter that's different , for example my part number is: 1J2 614 105 G and the ones i keep coming across are either 1J2 614 105 C or 1J2 614 105 H .



Could it be that its because some of them are from a mk4 golf but would still fit?

Just call Audi mate and speak to the parts department. Give them you reg number and tell them the part number you have and they'll be able to tell you what part number has superceded that one.

I gave audi a call and they said that going by my reg, the one that should be in my car ends with a D .....lol
