    Thanks fellas. It's getting there!

I think I'll need some adjustable arms to sort out the camber. Do you ship international Dave?

Thanks dude. Paintworks not as mint as yours!

That's pretty much it but personally I'd stick with ET20 on the front unless you want it to stick out slightly. The trend seems to be to run less offset on the rear. I've read that the mk4 chassis has 20mm less track width on the rear (10mm per side) which would explain that. You could probably do ET10 rear if you felt the need.

Keep hunting, I checked eBay daily and found these. They have a couple of very tiny marks but that's it. Shame they are 5x120 but it's not a biggie. I kinda like the wider pcd anyway. You might be lucky and get a bargain like I did. Changed the cam chain tensioner and valve cover gasket today. What a nightmare that cam chain tensioner gasket is, even with the VW 3366 tool! So tight to get the old gasket out and the new one in. All good in the end though. It turns out it wasn't leaking from there in the first place. It was leaking from the rear half moon seal that's part of the valve cover gasket. Ah well, can't harm to replace it while it's all apart.

The inside of the head/valve cover was mint. No deposits and generally very clean which is good. Shows its been reasonably well serviced.

Sold the old S8 wheels today to D3N1S from here tonight so hopefully he'll get some pics up of when he gets them on. He took me for a spin, first time I'd been in another S3!

Got a few better pics today. I had to go and get a pink slip, which is the equivalent of an MOT although no where near as detailed. Brakes are checked on the road, lights are checked and a few other bits. Of course, it flew threw. He had an R6, R34 engined R32 GTR and a Holden SSV sitting there so was clearly into cars. I thought as I was up and dressed at a reasonable time for the weekend I'd go for a spin up to Palm Beach. For those of you in the UK, it's where Home & Away is filmed, if that show is even still around?! Some real nice houses up that way, and views:

Got a few of the car too. It was a nice opportunity to open up the car on the way home

Did I mention it's winter here

Nice shots Sam, didn't know up there you needed a NOT like sticker.
So we in VIC don't have that, but we get ripped off by the gazzillion speed cameras we have.

Ordered a new N75 valve today as the boost seems really inconsistent but it may just be me, anyway it can't harm to try it. I should really measure it with the liquid gauge but haven't had time and I figure the N75 usually gives issues so a spare does no harm!

I also ordered the mk4 aero wiper arms and blades, for front and rear, from Germany. These guys do them at a good price, for anyone looking:
    Audi A3 S3 8L original Aerotwin Scheibenwischer + Arme | eBay
    (I ordered RHD of course)

The oil leak seems to be fixed as a result of doing the cam chain tensioner gasket and valve cover. I couldn't get one of the nuts on the valve cover to torque up to 7lb/ft, it just span and span so I'll keep an eye on that part of the cover for leaks (its the most annoying one to get to as well (back left)). It looks like having all the others torqued up be OK though. The cover is very rigid.

So after the massive headache removing the injectors (Bit of an issue (injector related)), I managed to get them cleaned and also done the FPR. I did notice the car runs a little smoother now but to be honest, not much crap came out of either the injectors or the FPR. I replaced the o-rings too.

Worth noting that the injector o-rings are the same top and bottom. Or at least they were for me.

I got the seals from a Bosch specialist for $0.80 each (part number S3-100) and replaced the "supporting discs" (part number PC2117) as, well, I kinda had no choice! For anyone changing the discs, it's easier if they are heated in some way prior to clipping on. I used hot water for 5 minutes but the guys at the Bosch place said hairdryer also works.

I'm not sure if those part numbers are specific to these suppliers but thought they were worth sharing.

Found a pic I took of the injectors after cleaning. All fitted up with new o-rings and supporting discs. Notice they changed color of them. Hopefully the material as well!

Yeh I did but nothing really came out of that too. Either my bath was rubbish or the injectors were pretty clean already. The water did go a little dirty on the first wash but on the 2nd hardly anything came out. When I cleaned the FPR some oil like residue did come out but again, not much to speak of. It did seem to make a bit of difference though to smoothness of driving but it could be placebo?

I had the oily residue too. It took 3 8 min washes until the crap started coming out of the FRP and it now definitely seems better on full load, doesn't hessitate as much.

Haha yeah I am but unfortunately my driveway is a bit steep and I fear for my sump a bit (why are they so damn low). The rear doesn't have the coilover adjusters either, it has H&R springs instead (I got the kit used), so I'd only be able to drop the front more. It's pretty close to the arches as is with the low offest, so worried it'd rub a bit with a full car.

I might be tempted to try it at some stage though

I probably ended up doing the same amount of time in the end. I've yet to give it proper stick but possibly tomorrow night so I'll report back.

I'm going on a long drive this weekend up to the Hunter Valley (if anyone knows it) so I should get some better pics and some decent wine to boot.

I've been giving my some serious stick because I'd rather something broke now and not when I'm at the ring in a weeks time.

I didn't think the car could get quicker (without spending mad money) but alas, the new N75 has made a HUGE difference. The power delivery is no longer like a switch, its much more progressive. It really pushes you into the seat and seems to have a much wider power band. It's awesome.

I can highly recommend fitting a new one if you have strange power delivery. Mine is on 106,000km or 65k miles. It must have been shagged!

I did a quick log of airflow and....

I assume that's not bad for a stage 1 S3 with the bits in my sig?

Haha nice smiley Neil. I'm glad its healthy. This was the aim. The liquid gauge said it was 275bhp previously but the delivery was so much more peaky and I think it could hit 275bhp again.

Next is a fluid change on the gearbox and fitting the rear LSD (with a fluid change there too).
