Wthat S3 came with can-bus?

Hi all,

Looking into buying an S3 - with the view to retro fit the Navigation Plus, Doing a lot of research before I purchase! Wthat S3 came with can-bus?

Basically I see a few references to my00, my01 etc - Are these reference to the year made - I understand that I would need the facelift model.

I understand that to enable DiS cluster info (sat nav+) the car has to support can-bus? - <font color="green"> Did can-bus appear in 2001 S3's? </font>

The S3 doesn't use CAN for diagnostics (http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/canbus.html) , so I guess it doesn' have it (could be wrong tho)

The "old shape" did not have CANBUS (Pre-2000). Check before you buy.
