Symphony CD/Tape & Ipod link up

Evening all,
I've got an itrip for my ipod and since upgrading from a mk3 golf gti to an S3 can't seem to get a decent frequency without any intereference / beeping / crackling etc... Ive had the itrip for about a year and have had no trouble using it in the past. Any ideas what could be causing the problem?

How do you guys use the ipod in the car? Ive seen alternative methods such as the tape with a wire that plugs into the ipod but would rather not get that although would consider it if the general opinion is good..

Does the symphony have any input sockets in the back??

try denison link ... connects directly into the CD auto changer on the back oh HU, so no loss in musical quality.
loads of V good reviews on various sites .... TT forum for example.
was looking at one myself but decided to go for the phatnoise digital media box (from the US).
