would a ko3s fit strait on to my a3 1.8 20v turbo agu and would i need to change any other parts thanks dave

yeah you'd need a different tip but if i were you id fit a forge silicone one while your changine the turbo

other than that it will bolt straight on mate, obviously you'd need a remap

thanks for that wheres the best place for a remap, iv heard of jabba but heard there crap, and revo not heard anything bad about them so far where is the best place for a remap

as far as the k03s is concerned, it is a straight bolt on to our agu, but i think the outlet is bigger, so you WILL need a tip to fit it, be it forge/badger5/oem.
and r-tech is deff the best place around for the remap, they r vag specialists and a gr8 bunch of guys. had mine mapped there last week!! i have been on the market for a k03s for a while, but they seem to be getting snapped up pretty quickly, and the ones that do get through get get quite expensive. good luck.

It won't mate, gear linkages are in the way..

Forge or Autobahn for us KO3s turbo owners

cheers pal, could do with someone developing a 3'' tip for the a3, some of the gains on the S3's look awesome!

Bill has one on the go for his KO3s'd ibiza, and I think he might have cracked it, but it involves moving gear linkages and something else as far as I'm aware. I think I might just get a forge one, as I can't see a 3" one being available anytime soon.

Sorry to butt it!
I'm thinkin of getting a forge TIP for my a3. How can I find out which turbo I have?
It a AUM engine if that helps?
Cheers

I think the cheap and cheerful TIPs on eBay do the same job as the forge ones.does anyone know how much a forge TIP is?

Just been lookin at some(TIP) around £130
That's from dpmperformance

i THINK your pretty close to R-tech, they'll do you a good map at a decent price

ECU Remapping, Performance Engine Tuning, R-tech

its about 3 hours from me but when iv got cash floating about will get it done, is it worth remapping a standard 1.8 20v turbo k03 what gains could you expect ,standard its around 150bhp and 155ft/lb i think so what would a map take it up to without moding anything

wayne - it doesnt matter what turbo you have, a silicone one will fit both k03 and k03's no problems at all

i havent had it done yet but i keep speaking to the lads at r-tech and they're really helpful they specialise in the 1.8t engines and dont really touch anything else i think i spoke to wayne??? and he quoted me around 190bhp and 220ib/ft not sure if that is fly or wheel measurements, but that was on a completely stand a3 he said with induction and tip you could touch 200bhp trouble is after that k03 runs out of puff so its either ko3s time or hybrid/aftermarket, he quoted me £250 i think but it get three runs on the dyno full vcds check smoke leak test and a health check and wont map if its wrong, from what they told me and what i heard on here its a really through service and the lads are brilliant, its defo the place im goin as soon as i get the cash!!!
