The time has come for my 20K service on my S3. Two questions that I have. Firstly, Does getting the full FASH really make a difference to the price of the car. More importantly with respect to trading in as I am looking on getting a S/RS4 next year?

Secondly, what is the average price paid for a 20K service at the steelers and does it include servicing the Haldex?

Cheers in advance.

Think the haldex oil change is about 60 quid, but what im not sure is at what time does this need changing at, 20K or every 40K?

Is the car still under warranty? If so then yes, an Audi service is important. Personally as soon as mine is up I'll be using a specialist as much Audi dealer are completely crap.

The haldex oil needs to be changed every 20K and the filter every 40K

I think you'll find its now illegal for car manufacturers to invalidate the warranty as long as the servicing is carried out using the correct parts and schedule etc.

here's a quote from AmD's website too which is how I understand the law.

"Little know to most, is the new Block Exemption Laws allow us to service your car, using genuine parts the Manufacturers Warranty is still valid. "

so it's up to you what you do, although I personally would probably stick with Audi until the warranty is up.
