battery??

tried to start the car this morning and it struggled, then noticed that the time and date had went back to 0.00 and also the trip milage had reset itself, does this sound like the battery is knackered? car has been making a funny noice on start up for a while but got told it was starter motor, just wondering now if theres not enough power in battery.

Yes tired battery, but check the terminals are tight and free from corrosion first..

Yeah probs battery, the battery on my wifes car died completely a while back, car was completely dead, new battery sorted it, but have it checked because it could be duff alternator as well.

And how old is the battery as they only last about 5-7 years, make sure you fit a decent replacement, Bosch Silvertop from GSF gets my vote everytime
