My mate just bought an A4 1.9d for a run about, seemed like a bargain at the time. After about a week he thought he`d do one of these checks as the car only came with 2 MOT`s and no other history. Turns out it was MOT`d in 05 with 130k and then MOT`d in 06 with 75k meaning the bargain he thought he`d got turned out to be an overpriced 160k miler. Gutted he was but we think its been done by the owner previous to who he bought it from.

Looking at yours i take it the issue is where it drops to 11k instead of 100k something. If he think its been clocked has he not looked at the next MOT mileage. Its not going to jump up from 11k to 117 in a year is it lol. Clearly a mistake made by the tester.

Yeah that makes sense, guess the only way to get a definitive answer would be to pop down the test centre where it was MoT'd and ask. Even if they're telling porkies you may be able to get something from their manner and body language!

its worth pointing out - this is one check everyone should do regardless of the vehicles stated and documented history.
Anyone can document anything these days - proove as much as you can and get peace of mind.

phhewww glad to se emine aint been clocked back. but the velocity gaiter has popped up a few times as not securely fitted .what is that?

thanks mate how come it says not fitted securely. ive had a new driveshaft since so should be ok now :)
