S3 Door Mirrors

Hi, Does anyone know if the door mirrors on an 8L S3 are definitely interchangeable from facelift to pre - facelift, I know they're a different shape but can either be fitted ?

The whole mirrors - yes.
Just the caps - no, they're a different shape facelift/pre-facelift.
