“Service” Indicator ?

Hi guys


The “service” message has started to appear on my dash.


What's confusing me is I'm sure that when i bought the car the on-board computer said there was a good few thousand miles to go before the next service was due.


The battery has run flat and been disconnected a couple of times, could this have caused it to come on early?

no- it's not that daft.

what it does tend to go on is oil quality. You may find that the type of driving you've done and a potentially low oil level (no?) combined with the lack of an oil change for a while, has brought it on sooner...

Hmmm....

The oil has not long been done and i regularly check the level

i have reset them on my a3 tdi just typed in google reset service light on a3 and followed what it said to do on there worked fine worth a look good luck

Or using vagcom?


I'm just not sure if i should reset it yet or not....lol



Is there any other reason why it it would show up early?
