New S3 owner help needed

Hi, I bought one S3 from 08/2000 with 155.000 km the car doesn't have fault codes, in the engine module, but I don't feel the power that I was expecting?

What could it be?

It smells to much to the gasoline outside the car, does anyone knows what could it be?

I have one fault code in the AC, and it doesn't work:

If you have a strong smell of gasoline outside the car then the fuel filter might need changing. It's under the drivers side of the car.

If you are down on power try investigating the mass air flow sensor first. These can get worse without showing any errors.

With regards to the AC fault code, this is what the cause could be:

00792 - A/C Pressure Switch (F129)

Possible Symptoms

• A/C System not working

Possible Causes

• A/C System Malfunctions
  • Over or insufficiently charged
  • Refrigerant System blockage
  • Insufficient Air Flow to Condensor and/or Engine Radiator
• Wiring to/from A/C Pressure Switch (F129) faulty
• A/C Pressure Switch (F129) faulty

Possible Solutions

• Check A/C System for Malfunctions
• Check Wiring to/from A/C Pressure Switch (F129)
• Check A/C Pressure Switch (F129)

On a car of that age I'd be changing plugs, filters, maf, coilpacks anyway just for piece of mind. Don't be surprised if the turbo is tired too.

This is always the problem with buying 100+ milers at the end of the day.... It's just the nature of the beast sadly.

You need to download a little program called "basecode" and that will work out the code you need to enter into VCDS to code it.
