    Stamped Metal License Plates

    'lo all.

Does anyone know where one could buy a set of stamped metal license plates (Euro-style)?

Also, does anyone know if they are legal to use on public roads in the UK? =D

    Cheers chaps.

    Cheers for the links!

Dubmeister can guarantee they are UK road legal, but of course that means posting original documents to them... Er, I think not.

Might have to pass on this one unless I can find somewhere within reasonable driving distance to provide the docs =(

There is a company on ebay that will do pressed plates and they say they are legal.

I got them on my car with no issues.

There is a link on here somewhere.
I'll take a look for you.

There are Dubmeister dealers that can order it for you, you just show them paperwork rather than sending it off. I used an exhaust place in Hayes, West London. The plates were meant to arrive in 3 days but ended up being almost two weeks, I've had them on for a year now and never been stopped by police, from a distance they look like normal plates as the font and spacing meets the DVLA requirements.

I got mine on ebay, from this guy:

Pressed Metal GB number plates 100% ROAD LEGAL | eBay UK

Proper font and spacing, correctly stamped with BS AU 145d and the makers name in small discreet writing, and no need to send any paperwork away.

    On the car:

2000 A4 1.8T Sport Quattro Avant, Berry Pearl
    2000 A4 1.8T Sport Quattro Saloon, Black-ish
    1997 S4 - PPC £999 Challenge Track Car Build

Just saw a set made by www.eireplates.com and they looked very tasty. They are based in Ireland but do ship to England, might be worth checking out.

I got mine from eBay. Not strictly legal because there's no BS mark or dealers name. I was stopped for no front plate and they didn't get out their magnifying glass to check the marks.
