silly question!!

have been on the market for a 3" down pipe for a while now, but can only seem to come up with ones that either come with a sports cat, (which is too expensive) or a de cat, which isn't MOT legal!
so if i do get one with a de cat pipe, will the down pipe fit onto my existing cat, or would i def have to put the de cat on????

The 8L ran from 1996 -2003 so it will need a cat.

If I'm correct, you could run the car without a cat, and just put it on for the M.O.T if you really didn't want one..But I doubt that the benefits outweigh the hassle.
