I drove it down to Weston Super Mare yesterday with the missus and the nipper. No problems on the way down or back. The DIS was claiming ~45 MPG on the motorway using cruise control at 80.
Yeah right. However I did do 100 miles to about 3/8s of a tank of fuel, so in all fairness that's not that bad.
Went out hunting last night, however didn't come across anything worth racing. Booo.

Changing spark plugs today, they have got a little hot so that's the first thing on the list to change.

OK, went out and bought some plugs yesterday. Got home, fitted them, took Bumble out again. Missing.
Checked the coil wiring, no problems there either.
Gave up with that temporarily and decided to find the fuel smell that I was getting in the cabin instead. I knew that the number 4 injector seat was damp.
Turns out that the misfire and the leak were the same problem.
The bolt for the fuel rail has stripped a few rows of thread inside the inlet manifold (A symptom I am starting to see around my engine bay now after the thousand times it's been apart) and had worked itself loose. Under boost it was just allowing air to escape.
Longer bolt installed, fuel smell gone, and misfire fixed.... Happy days.
Well, it's been a week of driving it around everywhere now since the MOT.
A few small issues have crept up, but nothing massive, and they were all easily resolved.
Will be changing a few things this weekend for the better one hopes....
I am moving up to the next size WMI Nozzle. I currently run a DO5 nozzle, which is 5 gallons per hour. I will be moving this up to the next size, which oddly is a DO7 (7 GPH). They simply don't make a DO6.
This turbo is shifting 280+ G/S of air, and I think that the WMI is now less effective than it was based on this.
Will fit and see when Bill has time to sling it on the dyno, as when it was poorly, fuelling was added and timing taken out temporarily.
Also, I currently vent my PCV to atmosphere. My main breathing point is the stub out of the cam cover, and that then vents to the back of the engine bay.
The problem is that I get the smell of oil vapour in the cabin and it is very annoying I must admit.
Planning to formulate a new plan and reconfigure this so that it vents in a more controlled manner. Not sure how yet....
Not sure if it'll work Welly but what if you plumbed the breather into the charcoal canistor and then vented it from there to atmosphere?

I've decided I will leave as is, however vent the pipe further underneath the car. The problem is currently that the pipe isn't that long, and the gasses are just coming back up into the engine bay.
I need to vent mine bettet, that smell is rank in hot weather lol.
Driving the most secretive S3 on ASN
I've moved my breather filter right to the front of the bay right next to the battery, reduced smell alot. If i put the bonnet seal strip back on i get nothing, until I open my window.
Keeps the engine nice and cool and under bonnet temps right down without the rubber strip.
I have just bought a metre of 19mm ID hose, which should be enough for me to cable tie it down either at the front/bottom of the block, or at the back of the subframe.
From what I have read, reconnecting the vac feed under the inlet manifold through the one way valve should draw the gasses from the PCV into the inlet manifold on idle.... Obviously due to the vac feed from the mani pulling the gasses in.
Sadly, this won't work without reconnecting the TIP.
The downside of it being a closed loop system is that it's either all or nothing.
Yeh I still have the strip removed regardless of smell. It really is an improvement having it at the front behind the grill, the air flow effectively diluting the fumes. I can imagine having it really low will eliminate any smell. My only concern is mine as it is has oil on the filter, must be fumes condensing, so having it hanging down will probably drip.
Do you still have an air box? or are you running a cone filter with the box removed? could you vent it near the filter so effectivly drawing the smell back in to the engine?
Mines started to smell more. mind that could be down to the warmer weather and actually driving it lol. Think ill move my filter down near the front suspension some where
