Had an 8L S3, a B5 RS4 now I have a B8 S4
So I just had the pleasure of having to drive to Swinedon, on the way i think my clutch slipped. I tryed to boot out of a steep junction, got some power, kept my foot in it, the revs rose and it grabbed it about a second or two later. As I went up the hill I was greated by Eau de Clutch but with no further problems I said sorry to the car, stroked the steering wheel and thought no more of it.
But on the way back I had a motorbike up my chuff off a round about on to a dual carriage way, I was overtaking so revved hard in third got past the car in the slow lane, changed to sixth and went to pull over to let the lairy barsteward go and the revs stayed high for a few seconds and then dropped to just under 3k.
I have since tryed booting from 2nd and going through some of the gears to see if it will slip again but it hasn't which is good.
The problem is the clutch was replaced in July 2010! Do you think this is the beginning of the end for the clutch or just a funny five minutes?
Never had it happen before so your thoughts/experiences would be good, Ill have to drive like a grandad till after the power tests
