Well guys, a sad day coming up for my relationship with the S3.
After searching for months to find a steering "issue" it has turned out to be something that is just all in my mind. The guys at Awesome GTI have been just that - awesome. Big thanks to Dean, Al and all the others that have helped. They have had me in a few times, the most recent being this morning, with at least three of them driving and sitting with me in the car as well as sitting in a TT owned by one of the lads, with exactly the same feel and nothing wrong with that car. The car has also been to them for (get this) all new springs, all new dampers, top mounts, tie/track rod ends, drop links and full front wishbones, complete with bushes and ball joints (all I might add being genuine Audi parts and fitted for quite frankly a steal in the grand scheme of things).
The "issue" has been there since I have owned the car and three Audi garages, two MOT stations (including by VOSA agents), Awesome GTI and my father cannot feel the "fault" and there is nothing left to change (steering rack was considered, but Awesome just cannot see or feel ANY movement).
But I just don't love the car like I loved my Clio. Not sure what it is, because I love the looks, the colour, the build quality and the go. But with an iminent move to London to boot, I feel it is right for the S3 to leave my hands soon.
This isn't a for sale thread (JoJo, I can see you lurking ) - more of a thanks for being a great forum and an awesome gang to chat to! I'll post some final pics soon as she gets prepped detailing wise for sale But for now, here she stands;
