    PCV "Hockey puck" pipework.

While I was putting the cylinder head back on recently I noticed the plastic pipe that runs from the T piece under the inlet manifold into the PCV was split at both ends. In a fit of haste I rushed off to Audi to order a new one where they kindly relieved me of 42.07! I needed the car back on the road asap though so had to grin and bear it.

Since then though I've noticed when the engine is hot the rubber pipe that comes out of the bottom (not the funny S/E shape one) is very soft and certainly not round. What are my options for replacing this and probably the E shape one at the same time. I see Forge do the one that runs to the cam cover but I can't see any that replace the one in question.

Also, along similar lines, there is a hose that runs laterally under the intake manifold that is a mixture of hard pipes and a soft 180 bend where the bracket for the intake manifold is. What is this pipe as it is split where it joins to another t piece on the left near the alternator. Some trusty gaffer tape and cable ties have sorted that for now but obviously I'm looking for a better long term solution.

If my explanation for the second pipe wasn't clear I think it may be the one in the bottom right hand image that shows the existing pipework.

I've just done the entire system with Forge Silicon, including the big pipe going down to the turbo...thread coming later

the car is a completely different vehicle, so much more power, hesitation and slight bumpiness in the revs gone, lovely sound

go for Forge silicon for them all if you ask me

they do the 3 way with the hockey puck and loads of others approx 240 for them all but worth every penny

I've been having a bit of a read of the catch can thread but I'm in two minds whether or not it's best just left standard for when it comes time to sell up. Don't really fancy explaining why you have to empty this can of oily sludge every few weeks.

Since I put the head back on I noticed it boosts up really quickly, not sure if this is down to the new coilpacks, no longer cracked exhaust manifold, cleaner head, replaced pipe or a combination of all of the above. Higher up the revs though it doesn't seem to pull quite as strongly as before. The audible boost noise seems fairly constant but it seems to be lacking slightly. Obviously I've no data to check this so it could be all in my head.

Have you changed the one that runs from the bottom of the valve into the TIP?

I'm going to get one of these for the cam cover breather AUDI S3 SEAT LEON CUPRA R CRANKCASE BREATHER PIPE on eBay (end time 12-Apr-11 18:56:17 BST) but cannot see anywhere that does the other one.
