    Gearing on a 1.8t quattro.

hello, dont know if anyone can help but last night i was driving up to stoke on trent from devon, as normal driving up the motorway at about 80mph i couldn't but feel the car would be better if it had a 6th gear or a longer 5th gear. At 80mph its doing about 3500rpm. Didn't know if anyone else has found this and if there was an easyish solution? I know the acceleration might not be quite as good in 5th but it is there for crusing. I know my friend with a T4 transporter was looking at changing his 5th gear following him chipping it to get it down to nearer 2500rpm.

Any idea's would be great. Thanks for looking :-)

you'll hit 60 in 2nd which a 6 spped won't though. Buy and fit and S3 gearbox if you want 6 gears. Quattro has less power so lower ratio gears

or, source a gearbox from a facelift 1.8tqs. 6 gears there an all.
Audi A3 8L 1.8T Quattro 180 in black. Totally standard: for now...
