hi my mates got a s3 when he puts his foot down all the time it splutters at about 4rpm onwoulds in all gears.
dont have a clue what it could be wondering if anyone has had this problem with there car.

tar

Coilpacks, MAF, temp sender, thermostat (if it's running cold), spark plugs, pre cat lambda, fuel filter, split hoses

cheers sadip that will help mate think his temp sensor has gone he's getting the fault anyway and he's got a dodgy maf connetion

If the coil packs are a problem your mate should have the engine management light flashing at him (if its bad). A split in the fuel regulator hose can also cause problems if the car is struggling to fuel properly under load. Your best bet is to get the car scanned.

lol who changed the title?

wouldnt the coilpacks cause stuttering at all different rpms rather than just at 4k?

It would also be worth checking that the cam timing is not a tooth out.

thanks all he's got no engine light on and has been scand on vagcom just got temp sensor fault and maf but that coz he unplugged it
