Wrong Tyre Question !

Hello

I had some new tyres fitted to my 02 A3 1.8T they are pilot primacy 205/55/16, but
these ones have speed rating V and the originals were W. Is that a problem? I don't routinely drive at 169 mph or 149 mph !

It won't be a problem.

Our Bora V5 came with the same size tyres on a W rating. Xpedia tyres told me that a V rating was fine. Apart from anything, the car isn't capable of 149 let alone 169!

I took it back to the tyre place.
As they had invoiced me for a W and the michelin
guide quoted a W for the 16" rims. They replaced
them for me. A months free tyre usage !
