Limitation's of the S3 Diff and Transmission?

I was told that the diff and the diff bolts are a weak link to the S3 when you hit 500 pounds feet for torque

The diff bolts aren't actually bolts as std on VAG boxes, they are rivets and have been known to fail on std cars let alone 500ftlbs capable (not heard of a 20v produce that kinda torque tbh)... selector forks can be a tad dodge too

Bill has had his fair share of gearbox issues, pretty sure he is using an SQS gearset in his Ibiza now...

I know a two cars, with 02M running close to 680bhp with no issues, the 5 speed is a weaker box than the S3 & TT . Andy Waite from ak bodycraft is one of the fastest if not fastest UK in his class and uses the same transmissions and running gears. may be with LSD and uprated or tuned Haldex
