Talking Audi Recall ( all petrol engines)

    Hi Guys
Might be old news but my mate who works for Audi has just told me that Audi are recalling every Audi with a petrol engine because they have now excepted that there coil packs are crap and are giving everyone 4 new ones .

Yes just phone them up and ask, my mate booked mine in for tuesday and he only told me this weekend.
Its a huge recall for all petrol engines that have coil packs fitted accross the world.
Would'nt want to pick the bill up for this one.

    They are bloody scammers.
I got charged some obscene amount for my stereo code when I had my A4, not realising they're supposed to give you that for free!
I wouldn't go back for anything that's not 100% free, their free MOTs couldn't tempt me.

I thought all recalls were always for faults involving safety etc.

i carnt believe how stupid you all are, if if if audi are recalling it will be for a certain model made between a very short date ie, 1.6 2010-2011. not some thick diick with a 10 year old S3.

What utter, utter, utter crap. If it actualy was a recall then audi dealers would send out a recall letter to ALL audi owners and secondly it would be in the media.
Either show some actual proof and stfu ;-P

Not a recall as such as you won't get a letter asking you to report to the dealer to have them checked, its whats known as a campaign where any petrol car visiting a dealer for other reasons will have there coils checked & if there found to still have the old guilty of failure parts then they shall be replaced FOC, This is a newly issued campaign from aprox 11/2010. So the man speaks the truth you bunch of ungreatfull twats, sit there behind your keyboard spouting ****e like " proof or stfu " if you like but I'll be visiting my dealer to have them checked/replaced FOC if needs be.
