Want to upgrade con rods how much?

Hello ppl new to the site, Ive looked on this site to find out ruffly how much it would cost me to get my con rods replaced on my s3 1.8t BAM but can't find anything. Any1 got any ideas?
 
Well that's better than I thought. Not too bad in the long run and my car is due a cam belt soon. Is it worth doing anything else while I'm gettin this done?
 
Oil pump, oil pick up pipe and clean the sump.
 
Im gutted i didnt get my rods uprated when i had my cracked head replaced! i wasnt aware of the issues of them bending at the time. theres no way im paying the labour to have it done now!
 
Thanks every1 big help! I've looked into it a bit more and doesn't seem too hard to do myself, also a lot cheaper. What about pistons is it worth changing them? soz should of asked this when I started the thread!

Need to ask the question as to why you are going down this root? Std pistons are fine... they are forged as std and will easily cope with 400bhp... I still have std pistons in my engine...

What are the plans for your car tuning wise?

I'm getting mine done as I bent one having new oil pump water pump cam belt and all the bits that go with it cam chain tench looking at £2000+

Well first I want to hybrid but eventually get a garret. I just want everyfing ready for when I decide to get a Garret and wasn't too sure what I needed for this. I suppose 400 bhp would be nice, I think that would keep me smiling for a while lol.

Trust me the three of use have spent a great deal on the conversions, expect to spent lots on the conversion also there will be parts that will give up the ghost not due to the power increase but of old age
 
I was expecting to spend but in my eyes that's what money is for lol. I like all 3 of these! I think il start with the hybrid and work my way to a conversion. Trouble with me I'm very impatient and I kno these things take time. Thanks for showing me these threads helps a lot!
