which set of headlight bulbs does an a3 take?, are the dipped ones h1 ? i ordered a set of H4's and H7's cause thats waht i thought but my H4's fit my full beam ones ok but not the H7's and the old bulbs dont have a size marked on them.

Is it a face light A3 or not? My face lift A3 has H1 dipped and H7 main.

Don't think so,its a 2001.
my main beam are H4's

Probably pre facelift then even though its a 2001. In which case your dipped and main share then same H4 bulb. If you look it has two filaments inside of it.

I counted at least 4 different types of bulb in there last time!

Mines is full beam is H4 and dipped is H1
