i'm just about to buy an a3 1.8 sport 1999 and was wondering if i have to make any modifications when lowering it on 18'' wheels. I'm for getting a set of coilovers and just slamming on top of the wheels.

Also these wheels are on ebay and was wondering if anyone could tell me if they're ok for an a3.
7.5 x 18, 215/35 X 18 , THE PCD IS 5 X 100 MM, OFF SET OF 38MM

Please help

As Jojo says these wheels should fit without probs, as the offset seems ok and the PCD is correct...he's also correct about 245 tyres fitting without problems, but it won't give you great handling, especially if you fit them on the rear only with narrower tyres upfront.

Personally I would try and go for an offset of ET32 IIRC (These are the same as the S3 rims), as these perfectly fill the A3 arches, better than on the S3, and shod them with 225 tyres for a good performance increase over standard. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beerchug.gif
