to show the differences and where you lose and gain, i have gathered various maps for standard 225hp S3, chipped (revo based) and 2 big turbo options - the IHI and the MTM, although the ihi isnt actually available easily for the S3, its been done on lots of 20V small valve engines.

most noticably, the ihi loses at the bottom end compared to a standard chipped car, where as the much more expensive mtm conversion behaves like a chipped car at the bottom but adds the extra mid and top end too.
 
Like Rich I made a comparison but this time S3 210bhp (K04) and my S3 (IHI hybrid BB)
Clearly you can see the torgue-band has become narrower, but on the other hand the rev-limit has been increased a little. So the engine responds more like a nervous sportscar-type rather than a gentle GT with a wider torque band.
But remember that the engine response very much depends on how your ECU software has been (re-)written.
You can get it as you like, each has his own preferred setting, i guess.

I believe it's a K26 Rich but could be a mixture of the two K26/27
