    Is my boost getting dumped?

Hi, just wandering if the ECU is designed so that when my BAM S3 is skidding, the boost gets dumped?

Just asking this because it seems everytime I go around a corner/roundabout and im giving it some, and the car skids slightly, the car seems to bog-down, like the boost has gone.

    Cheers,
    Ash.

The ESP will activate the N249 valve that will dump boost to stop you getting out of shape. The best solution is to turn off the esp

is turning the ESP off enough.? or N249 delete required, which I don't fancy?

I think some one told me that even with the esp turned off the car can take power away from you and the only way around it is the N249 delete. Not brave enough here either. lol.

Turning off the ESP will not completely eliminate the N249 boost dump but makes it a lot better. I've been running a bypassed N249 for over a year now with no problems.

Yer N249 bypass is easy peasy, me and friend did it hardly any mechanical knowledge and it took about 40 minutes.
Car felt instantly smoother and more responsive, worthwhile in my opinion

Nothing wrong with doing the N249 bypass. I've done that and always drive with ESP off, no problems here either.

Wrong context here mate... ESP/ECU controlling boost to stop you going into a hedge... changing the N75 won't do anything... going N249 bypass 'should' help but sorta defeats the object and ESP won't be as effective... I always turn mine off as it works fine on a std car but is a little wiggy on a mapped car (probably what the OP is experiencing) as the difference between 'mapped' boost and the ECU's normal cut off is greater (actuator pressure) so you drop in power will be more noticable...

N75J is a waste of time on an S3 and mostly pointless on an A3 unless its an AGU without a map sensor...
