Our A3 TDI the temp gauge on the dash is wild. I'm pretty sure the dash is naff so i can't trust what that says.
I took it out earlier, temp from the vents were enough to melt tar off the road. But Vagcom reckoned it was only 64 degrees.
I've changed the green sensor in the water pipe. Is there another sensor somewhere?

Theres one sensor that signal both the dash and the ECU.

What was the dash saying when VCDS was saying 64?

The dash usually sits at exactly 90c when the engine is in its normal range of operation, (ie 80-100ish)

I've had it working before, but then it started playing up again. I just wondered if it was a different sensor.

option 49 on the CC shows the correct temp, don't need vagcom for that.
