vagcom or not or mabie just the vagcom lite

Hiya guys i dont no of any of you have vagcom but i have the vagcom lite,wont let you do everything but lets you do alittle bit,its my birthday next week and was going to get girlfriend to buy me it is it worth it ??

What lead is the best to get as i want to do my audi 1999 1.8t also newer cars is it worth the £250 mark or should i just buy the software for about £50 and keep my ebay lead ?

ebay lead works fine, but you are tied to the laptop you put it on as the official one has the key in the lead
