I blew the doors off a porsche 911 Turbo one time....... to be fair it was a cabriolet !!

at the end of the day people are asking for stories, i have told my stories, if you dont believe me you are quite welcome to come and talk to me or atleast man up enough to say it properly rather than beating around the bush. Without trying to cause offence ive been driving since i was 11 and had a race license at 15 so maybe i am faster than your average chav in his m3, in all honesty it onviously wasnt set up well because the arches were scraping the tyres mid corner. So if leggy or anyone else wants to know any more please feel free to pm me rather than try put other people down.

tom

It's not a case of 'manning up' I've clearly stated that anybody who thinks they can **** all over an M3 in a stage 1 S3 is deluded, you obviously felt the need to single me out so I'll post up for all to see as appose to a pm...

If you'd have put ' I beat an M3 on back roads etc then I wouldn't have thought twice, but to state you gave this 'chav the rod and then ****** all over him ' quite frankly I find rediculas...

Unsubscribed due to a good thread turning into a huge pile of cr@p.

Thanks for making it, A3 TTu but keyboard warriors have ruined it.

Tales of dangerous and unlawful driving: Good, congratulate all concerned.
Disagreeing with the glorification of stupidity: Bad, what a very, very bad man.

I can't help but think those are the wrong way around.

Actually Eddie, I would point out that what you are in fact doing is baiting people. So you are technically lowering yourself to the level that you so clearly despise (the only difference being in cars we can ignore you, whereas on forums we have to wait for you to leave, have your posts deleted, or be banned - fingers crossed on the latter eh?).

The simple fact is you're doing it on a forum that is here to help members. Yes, there are stupid posts (find me a forum that doesn't have the occasional bad thread), but the majority of threads and replies are very constructive. I have learned 10x more about my S3,sitting on this forum in my spare time, than I learned about my Clio in six years over on ClioSport...

So if you're looking to sit at your computer, tap in responses, while looking up in a thesaurus multiple ways of posting "you're all chavs", I would suggest heading over to ClioSport's "Road Driving Stories" sub-section... that's right, a whole section awaiting your high horse attitude.

Moving on.

this one was a little dangerous but trust me i will never make this mistake again

this is when i had a stage 2 custom code with my standard brakes

was having a play with my old mates from school in his older brothers R8

we were on a duelie opening up into 3 lanes so we both floored it
i thought he was moving into the left lane so we could av it side by side so when he indicated left i put my foot down
only to my supprise he was undertakin a car going very slow in the fast lane (****** R8 was too wide couldnt see past him)
i had to slam on my brakes so hard my car was skipping all over the road i couldnt move into the left lane cos he was there
just held the brake peddle and managed to slow down i got so close to the other car i could smell there magic tree hanging from there rear view!
i pulled into the slow lane came off at the next junction and drove straight home still shaking like a leaf.

the next day i booked my car in for the brembo GT 4 pot kit!!!!!

I raced a van in my Clio yesterday at the lights, and lost :(

What Clio you got? And what van was it, wasnt the one off top gear by any chance lol?

definatly

Not done much in my A3 as it's completely standard. Only a friends Escort GTI.
In my old VTS though i had a play with a Clio Williams on the M25 at 3am. I couldn't beat it but it was never more then 1 car lenght in front even when we were both doing 140.
During our last of 3 duels we saw blue lights ahead so we slowed and passed a TT that was pulled by the fuzz.

Don i dont blame you fella lol! Had a scary situation myself with a taxi driver cutting me up.

No I wish it was the xj van. It was a merc Vito. My poor 1.2 Clio just couldn't put all 60hp down :(

lol that van is something special pure sleeper! Lol its ok fella, maybe next time around you can show them whos boss:laugh: lol

I don't think I'l be showin anyone who's boss in a 60hp Clio lol. Although did some awesome overtaking the other day and surprised myself as it actually moved!

Met a new S65 merc today down a very bumpy lane! there traffic lights which he floored it (sounded amazing!), i did the same and managed to keep up with him!
Not sure how much he was pushing it, was a scary bumpy national limit lane!
good fun none the less!

Oi, I had a 1.2 Clio for 6 years. Plenty of things to over take.

Things with two weels (bicycles), things with eight (prams), things with four (wheelie bins)...

A friend had a clio, infact now owns a 182 but the 1.2 was remarkably reliable and the underside is pretty sturdy.

Many a time i had to run of up the road to get his dads merc or tractor to pull it out of ditches and it always seemed pretty straight. Saying that the day he traded it in on the drive there the gearbox pooped itself and 3rd and 5th were the only gears to engage :D Parked it up, drove away and never heard anything back.

One of the renault coupe things tried to goed me into a race yesterday in cheltenham, undertook me going around 40, i was just moving off some lights and soon i was on the better side of him. Don't make a habbit of it though, especially against pieces of turds like that.

I would have bought a Clio 200 or 197 in lieu of my S3. But my Clio broke so many times, turned itself off so many times (usually at 71 while trying to over take in the fast lane of a motorway) or fell apart (three engine wiring looms in the first three years from new. FROM NEW!).

im lucky, my dad has worked for renault for about 10 years so nothing ever goes wrong, at least not for long.
my intentions next year are to buy a clio sport for a track toy, hope i can.

those laguna coupe's are really nice cars, good looking, 4 wheel steer too! but no means fast!

someone mentioned ST's earlier, my girlfriend has one, remember on a local carraigeway her not gaining on me, i was happy as larry. she's the person who says 'your cars old' ha soon showed her. we still have 'my car is faster' arguments though, think she conveniently forgot that day

i would just like to clarify then that i did not flip anyone the rod..i had in done to me, which is why i felt the need to hound the beemer down through both the dual carriage way and further roundabouts.
I did however get done this morning by an old school mini rocking a bike engine, ive never seen anything move so fast lol

Apologies about the rod flicking then, misread the post...

If he flicked you then fair do's... :)

Had a play with a quattro a4 avant yesterday, found out today it is mapped, pulled away from him a little through a section of twisties, then managed to pull away as the road straightened up, as I turned off i got a beep of the horn and a thumbs up! Nice to see someone using a car how it's meant to be used and appreciating when someone wants to do the same.

Yer I love it when people do that!.....legend! its like no hard feeling that u kicked my ***, u do get some people who get so aggressive if they get beat, its fun at the end of the day!

I have to say, my favourite (and totally legal) A3 vs 'x' moment has to be in the old A3, driving around the outside of Jimbo (Sportstractor) in his mapped S3. In the rain, around Aremburg on the ring!
