S3 trim pieces

I've just been reading a post in the detailing section about S3 trim. Can anyone tell me what colour this was when the car came from the factory. I have a metallic black car but the lower door trim, rear bumper insert and trim around the fogs is a dark grey on my car. Was this black originally and has turned grey in the sun or is that the original color?

That grey is a funny colour as well - Audi don't sell touch up kits for it.

So are they painted? Because mine look like they are grey rubber. The new ones from Audi come as primer.

Yep they are painted in some sort of strange rubberised paint. But Audi don't sell the paint. All you can do is buy a new primered one from Audi and then get a bodyshop to either mix you up some paint or paint it for you.

my car is at blackburn audi today having a new trim on the drivers side the colour is AUDI SOLE GREY its a colour now only used on the allroad, cheers shane.

I thought that was the colour of the rubber, no paint. I've scratched mine and it's just solid grey rubber. Paint would crack

I've scratched mine too. But Audi insist they come in primer and need painting.

they need painting, audi are painting the small trim near the rear wheel arch so they match up perfect.
