MAF FAILURE,NOT EVEN YEAR OLD. WARRANTY?

Hi, just wondering what sort of warranty if any do you get from gsf. got MAF 28/01/10 last year and looks like its f**ked already! I know maf's are pritty **** but surely they should last a bit longer than a year.

Should be able to get a replacment from them ring them tomorrow , its well known that Maf's even Vag ones are crap but pattern parts off Ebay and motor factors have an even worse name

last 1 i had from gsf lasted 3 mth
they told me a month on that kinda part

i bought a re-furbished bosch maf from trade part specialists and was given a 2 year warranty with it. to top it off it only cost me something like £70-odd due to exchanging my old one in. keep them in mind!

Yeah its 2 years standard warranty if bought from VW/AUDI/TPS. If not I would ring em up and check.

Sure its 12 month with GSF, best to just call them and see what they say.

Thanks for replys guys.Will be on the phone to gsf tomorrow,you would think bosch would be a bit more reliable! std airbox,not as if running cone filter with vibrations or anything.

If next 1 fails, will be getting genuine 1 from audi.

There has been alot about faulty bosch ones too mate, so you can never be too sure.

don't get duped mate, the genuine audi one is sourced from bosch anyway... they don't sprinkle any magical audi dust on it ;-)

I've had 3 MAF's die from GSF within a 6 month period. Euro car parts for me next! Plus, GSF said they won't sell me another one as they think the problem is with my car and not the MAF! Cheeky buggers!

contacted gsf today, they says 1 years warranty. so will be getting replacement, no doubt i will be back with new 1!

Phone gsf today again to make sure they had maf in stock. Apparently the guy a was speaking to didnt tell me about they warranty procedure, I have to buy a new maf then they send old maf unit to germany (bosch) to test if unit is faulty. this will take 6-8 weeks. That is alot of balls! they now fine well how **** maf's are. but hey they're only following procedure. GGGrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!
