lambda sensor fault

Ok.

Looks like my pre-cat lambda sensor is shot (only got the 1 APY), thanks again to paul for scanning the car with full vcds, looks like my free version has been missing this.
How easy are they to change? Whats involved on the wiring side of matters, is it a plug and play affair or do i have to start cutting and splicing wires?

Should be plug and play mate. The sensor sits it the DP so it's notthe easiest to get to.

Yeah ive seen, looks like a pig, not had chnace to have a proper look yet, do you know where it plugs into?

BUMP

Is there anyway to test a pre cat lambda sensor using VCDS as I think mine is working but maybe not reading correctly.

Cheers

Rob

Well as I wasn't getting any info in regards to how to test my old Lambda sensor and it seeming to be an issue during the maping of my car I have bit the bullet and purchased a Bosch replacement as I managed to find one at a reasonable price on ebay
Bosch Lambda Oxygen Sensor, Audi S3, 1.8 Quattro | eBay

So once it arrives I will get it on and see if it helps anything
