Passenger Airbag Light

Happy New Year All,

Just got into my car and noticed the "passenger airbag off" light came on (the one in the interior light above the rear view mirror) when I turned on the ignition. It went off as soon as the engine started. Any one else had this problem?

Does it mean my passenger airbag is off permanently? I have checked the switch in the glove box and that is on so looks like a trip to the stealers!

Thoughts would be appreciated

Don't panic!
It is just a self test it is supposed to do that. If you turn the keyswitch the light stays on all the time.
