    Is this normal?

Hi all, the temperatire gauge never reaches 90. It sits between 85 & 90. The temp sender was changed by the previous owner a year ago. Could it be busted already?

Do people replace them with Audi originals or are eBay specials ok, they're like a tenner, don't know how much original thermostat is

When i did mine i went for an original audi part, i just felt happier in the fact it was original and not a pattern part, especially for the price and how frustrating it was to fit. IIRC mine was about 20 odd quid with the O ring.

I got a garage to do my wifes car during the December Big Freeze, had to take it back twice because it was leeking coolent from the housing, they eventually got it sealed.
