One of my aims this year is to tint the windows in my A3 (despite my mum saying, not while your under my roof). I would like to make a proper job of it, so does anybody know of any places I could try.

Depends how far you want to drive, there's a guy near me in South woodham called Terry who is well known for his quality of tinting. They only charge £25 a window, people come from all over the country to get their windows done by this guy....well he sits on the computer playing solitare while 2 other guys do the tinting. I've had my S3 n my alfa done by them n they fitted a sun strip n decals on my alfa for free. I've got his number somewhere if you need it.
Which windows....all or just he backs?.
If you're getting anything infront of the b post then be check the standard level of tint before putting any extra on to avoid having them ripped off by the plod
If its just the backs then you can go to town on it though.
