A3 HOT ENGINE START FAIL

just bought A3 2.0L TDI SPORT , runs great but once the engine is hot it wont start or if it does it sounds nasty to start ? any ideas ? it goes in for service tomorow .

Could be the same problem that the 8P has - failing starter motor.

Well documented problem on the A3 8P

yes it's probably the original and needs replacing , oh well will get it done and see what happens.
