Haldex Oil & Filter where to buy?

After a bit of a scearch on line i've not found any places to buy the two together for a 2002 S3. What price is a good price? How do V.W or Audi parts counters compare to non VW places? Had my pants pulled down in to many motoring places just lately and want to save up a couple of hundres quid so i can cover thr bottom of my tank with petrol. Cheers

GSF is the cheapest tbh. cost me about 30 for the oil and filter plus 20 for the filter tool (which you will need)

Is this a big job to do Tuffty? How much would a VAG specialist charge?

Roughly 1 hour job with a ramp?

Easy enough to do... I did mine on a driveway using ramps... there is a guide linked in this forum somewhere else a quick search on Google will find it...

When i had my Haldex serviced a couple months ago i was told by GSF and ECP that it was a dealer part only so i had to get it from Audi.

This is what you need, dont know how much the stealers would charge for one though, you'd probably have to go in pre-lubed

I paid 17 + vat for mine from GSF in Cheltenham but I did haggle a bit as they are around 25 normally... GSF sold me the tool, the oil and the filter...

That's odd.... they said they don't have it as it dealer parts. That was for the filter and oil. GSF hate me anyway, i'm banned from buying MAF's from them. W***ers.

I bought all the bits plus the tool from GSF last month the tool was made by laser products also get the 5mm drain allen key with it (46mm cranked spanner part no 3938) tbh I wouldn`t try and cobble something up to get the filter off as access is tight and the proper spanner makes the job easy barely a couple of mins to swop over...

    oil every 20k
    oil/filter every 40k
Although 99% sure I read its the above or every 4years but for what it costs its worthwhile doing..

I will be doing my oil every 10k and filter every 20k from the next change I do... have a feeling that my new 'remap' might tax the haldex a little more than normal....
