I've learnt my lesson. What ever you do make sure the temp sensor & thermo are genuine

You can buy from TPS, the are owned by VW and sell genuine parts at discount, similar prices to ECP/GSF

Little update after a quick call to TPS...

2002 BAM Audi S3

Clutch switch £11.57

Temp sensor £28.28

Coolant thermostat £19.67

Just thought it may help some people out.As we all know these are common problems/faults and these parts often need replacing.
