Looking back 8 years to when we first bought the A3, we thought 150bhp was a lot, and 200 with a remap just seemed incredible.
To think we're touching on the realms of double that these days is just crazy, it's amazing how perception of speed / power changes with time!

Picked up some 630cc injectors this evening from AndyP, hoping we don't need them, as they're not mine, I'm only borrowing them, but it'll be good to have them on hand just incase.

Today I fitted the Sytec Motorsport intank fuel pump from Bill.
What a fantastic bit of kit it is too!
it's an intank pump that's 100% OE fitting, using the stock electrical connections, swirlpot, lines, everything. It'll apparently flow enough to run a set of 630cc injectors at 5 bar at 100% duty, so somewhere in the region of 450bhp+, far more than I'll ever need.
it's also very reasonably priced from Badger5 too
So, if you have a FWD car you're in luck. If you've got an S3 or a TQ, then this isn't for you. haha

I stripped it down and compard pumps, the bottom of the sytec pump replicates the OE pump perfectly, so it really is an OE fit with absolutely none of the fuel starvation issues that so many after market pumps suffer from.
I popped the new pump into the pot:
and connected it up using the factor connectors:
And back into the fuel tank and we're done. 35 minutes start to finish, one of the easiest mods I've ever done!
On turning the key I can hear it prime, it's no louder than the one it replaces at all, and totally silent with the engine running.

OK, so it's R-tech tomorrow!
Everything is checked, all fluids are topped up, I've got 10L of Pre-mixed meth to take along as spare, and 52L of shells finest V-power.
There's a 4 bar FPR waiting for me at R-tech, and a set of 630's in the glovebox just incase, so hopefully we've got fueling covered.
The big question is, what's it going to make?
