Anyone know much about these turbos? Badger/Tuffty?

I've been told that the HTA30 is a very good turbo and is the GTX30's

I know the GTX30's use a billet compressor wheel and thats it to help spool

Any more info would be great as i will be placing my order soon and want to make sure i get the best turbo for my engine and be with in my budget.

GTX turbochargers are just Garrett's way of making HTA units more commercially available. The HTA turbo's are cheaper than the GTX counterparts when you factor in the turbine housings and such though.

Prices are just about the same, GTX is sold without the exhaust housing.

Haven't been many people trying the GTX, but I was just told that someone did and the results were not all that great. They found the GTX30r to spool up like a GT35r or kind of like a GT3082r. It didn't seem to spool up nearly as quickly as a HTA30r.

Which is why I will be running one on my VAG engine. I have another customer with a B6 1.8t that is also very interested in running the 7064 twin scroll on his car.
