Braking problem

My audi a3 shakes when i break at +60mph. The wheels are balanced and the problem only occures when breaking.

At lower speeds i can break without any shaking.

What could be wrong/

sounds like one of you're brake discs are warped mate.

best to replace the fronts as a pair - doesn't cost too much.

As above warped front brake discs. If you do them yourself make sure you clean the hub properly where the disc sits on it as if you don't the disc won't sit flush on the hub and this will happen again. If a decent garage does them they should do this anyway.

i'll third this: had the same problem myself... an excuse to upgrade to cross-drilled fronts ;-)
