    A3 kangarooing/ Vagcom - which measuring blocks?

    Hi all.
Ive got a friend coming round tomorrow to use my vagcom.
    Its a 1999 a3 1.8t (150) which is kangarooing on full boost.

Other than a full scan, which measuring blocks should i be looking at? as im guessing it wont throw any codes up.
And the weathers not really the best to be doing 3rd gear logging.

    The symptoms are:
Kangarooing on boost (like fuel cut)
    replaced DV + n75
    no eml on

    im suspecting possibly fuel pump??

    Any help appreciated

    002 115 119

    002 : Airflow
115 : Boost pressure control - Boost pressure specified value vs Boost pressure actual value
119 : Boost pressure control - Duty cycle boost pressure control valve vs Boost pressure before throttle valve

    Hmm,
Just had a quick look at this.
it wont let me access 115/119/32/33 the only measuing block i could get is 002.

    G/s is pulling 137 stationary, 180 on a 3rd gear run.

    Anyone got any ideas?

Unplug the maf. Try driving it a short way like that. See if it runs ok.
To me sounds like a metering problem

Tried that, No better... Flat if anything.
    Only stored codes were:
    *boost limit exceeded
    *Coolant temp sensor fault.

It goes like stink though - (feels like) full boost at around 1200rpm?
-shame i cant get block 115 to see what its doing.

Apparently its had a ko3-23 fitted (off an a4?) previously when his old blower cracked... If that makes any difference?

have you unpluged the N75 valve?

A few years ago we fitted a k04 to a mk4 golf in place of a k03 the egt sensor plug came out and the car was fine upto about 1500rpm then if you tried to nail it ... it was like a bucking bronko ride.
Basicaly the car had no idea what was going on boost wise

Yep, its got a brand new n75 and dv, as they were my first guesses.
Shall check the EGt sensor if i can see it.

Cant see why that would exceed max boost pressure though?

    Cheers for your help Paul.

With the golf we did. there was no restrictions in the turbo as a result of the hole... so the turbo was wildly over spinning,
    Does it sound wushy??

Nope, its pretty quiet. (well compared to my s3)

Just checked all vac pipes/ boost pipes/ breather pipes, cleaned out his scuttle drains - renewed the fuel reg pipe.

Ive given up for a while now whilst my fingers warm up lol.
