    Lambda Sensor/De-cat Advice Needed

    Hi all,
Hooked up my beloved to VAGCOM this morning to find the following error:

    17521 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor B1 S1 Internal Resistance too High P1113 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent

My research so far tells me that this relates to the pre-cat lambda sensor: am I right or am I talking ******?

If it IS the dear lamda sensor that has/is dying is it simply worth replacing it, or just de-catting it with the following...

AUDI A3 96-03 20v 1.8T TURBO EXHAUST DOWN PIPE DECAT on eBay (end time 21-Dec-10 19:12:39 GMT)

    All advice greatly appreciated :-)

    Regards,

    Danny

I think you will still need your lambda as this is what changes the fuelling, downstream i think can be deleted if fitted

^ Exactly what he said. B1 S1 is the pre cat lambda, and is the more expensive of the two. You will need this lambda as it is the sensor that controls fuelling adjustments.

Post Cat lambda can be deleted and removed from the map if the cat is removed.

    Hi all,
Thanks for the input! If the B1 S1 pre-cat lambda is on the manifold... does this mean it can be accessed from the engine bay?

Forum troll? description of the day!
