chipped laquer or paint?

guys
just cleaning the new baby on sunday and I noticed that there are a few hair line cracks in the lacquer on the rear bumper of the S3!!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

only a small patch and few crakcs but these can often lead to spreading.

not there before and it does not look like someone has dinged the back either as I don't leave it anywhere where this could happen.

The car had the auid extended warranty so would this cover the paint work? I would hope so as all part of the same car!!

goign to drop down to Audi in croydon to get an assesment done on it.

could it be the weather change that has done it?

any thoughts welcome

The bumpers can deform and spring back as the metal bumper bar is a few mm behind them.

I stupidly reversed into a post a while back which casued the same type of hairline cracks in the bumper paint (looks like an old china plate type cracks).

The bumper itself is fine.

It will need painting tho. Just have to wait and see what they say about it.
