Re: Service parts list as requested

nervus,

It was me who requested you post up the info....thanks....it adds to the pool of figures to expect for the rest of us

Seems like tyneside audi, just like all other official audi dealers charge by the book parts wise...there is negligible difference between your parts list and the one i posted some time ago for a 2nd AVS service on my 1.8TQ.

Seems like tyneside are charging at 79.99 per hour labour plus VAT...therefore by my calcs your AVS service was 1.5 hours labour and haldex oil was 0.4 hours..which are pretty good. Only some dealers lower the required time for haldex, if done at same time as AVS. Many also quote the standard book time for haldex oil AND filter...even if you're only having the oil done!

Even so teeside audi are obviously charging more labour time for both haldex and AVS, by my calculations (off your figures in your pm) 0.7 hours for haldex oil, 1.0 hours for haldex oil AND filter and (guesstimate) 1.7 - 1.9 hours at 79.99 per hour plus VAT for AVS...that's why service quotes can have a large degree of variation!...hence your 276 becomes....360

Cheers

Martin

I see, i was pretty chuffed with 276 but 79.99/hour is a scandle when you consider what the actual technician would get for the hours work. I'd be gutted with 360

Re: Service parts list as requested

this has saved me making a new post up lol
only yesterday was i 'stung' for more than the 360 for a 2nd AVS service ... did have some extra work done that they found..... at the affore mentioned dealer
will put add the invoice here at the weekend when im at home, was going to see if anyone wanted to play guess the code and price and then give a real description of what they changed.
if i remeber right 270 was what i paid for the 1st AVS 18months ago

270 with the 4wd haldex service though? I bet that was for just the service as thats what teeside quoted me + 120 for haldex so a total of 390 for the S3 first AVS!

Teeside Audi is Mill Audi though isn't it??? Always was more expensive!

not sure what francise they come under i know they recently been
're-branded' i could be wrong but i think they use to be Lookers Audi

270 for a 1st AVS 2WD service is scandelous! But hey so is anything more than 100. All they actually do is change the oil filter and give everything else a wipe with an oily rag!
